Novato is closer to San Francisco therefore more expensive
however, I have a friend that recently moved to novato and is getting just as good a deal. So overall Petaluma is cheaper. The west side where I live is slightly more expensive because its a historic district that is well maintained. The east side is more affordable housing
the apartment upstairs $1175 includes power water and garbage. There's
15 stairs and gets hot in the summer, but heck for only a couple weeks. Petaluma is also cooler weatherwise than Novato. It has two bedrooms but its really small and 'attic' like. There are a lot of those type apartments in the West side
